Jazz Gallery Project is a Columbus, Ohio based Jazz, Blues, and Funk Band featuring jazz and blues standards, hard hitting funk tunes, and soulful original compositions. JGP was started in 2012 when four rag-tag guys got together in the little (now-closed) Dane’s Dessert Café on Poplar Street to see what kind of sound could be made. As it turns out, the sound worked, and JGP was formed.
JGP performs for all types of events, and given its diversity in sound and abilities, can entertain a large number of event types and venues: weddings, hotels, charity events, restaurants, and the big stage. In addition to its music, JGP has formed a network of talented individuals with varying talents that can be called upon to provide varying forms of entertainment.
The standard JGP ensemble includes the standard jazz mix: saxophone, bass, drums, and keyboards/organ. JGP prides itself on its ability to perform, and its flexibility on and off the stage to match the mood and make your event memorable. Whether it’s a soft jazz melody, the blues, a nostalgic song (at your request), a hard driving funky jazz original, or a stylish Latin beat, JGP offers the perfect canvas to take whatever event it plays to the next level.
